Jerry Krantz, the late owner of El Chapultepec on Market Street, put his heart and soul into this beloved jazz club that has featured many of the greats including Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis and Tony Bennett. Better known as "The Pec" by its inner circle, the club is as lively as it ever was in 1968 when Krantz inherited the club from his father-in-law. Inexpensive beer, cocktails, tacos and burritos accompany the smooth jazz that plays on every night until 1:00 in the morning. This Denver classic looks and feels authentic, with its small-scale interior, single stage, great acoustics and old-school vibe.
