North Avenue Beach is one of Chicago's most popular beaches because of its huge multi-functional beach house, fresh water and endless amount of beach-friendly activities. The beach house resembles a permanently docked yacht, and houses two restaurants. Nets are set up along the shore for beach volleyball and umbrellas and chairs can be rented for a small fee. Jet skis are also available for rent but they are on the more expensive side. The beach offers one of the best views of the Chicago skyline in the city, which is motivation enough to go for a jog or an evening walk along the refreshing water.
