Established as the Utah state government headquarters in 1916, the Utah State Capitol is one of the most impressive historic landmarks in Utah to date. The vast building was constructed in the neoclassical style and is proudly stationed on Capitol Hill, overlooking downtown Salt Lake City. Free guided tours of the building are offered Monday through Friday via the Capitol's Visitors Center on the first floor.
