This hidden gem in Lincoln Park was designed by landscape architect Alfred Caldwell in the late 1930's. The Lincoln Park Lily Pool was named a National Historic Landmark and is currently maintained by the Chicago Park District and the Lincoln Park Conservancy. A trip into the gardens is priceless, both literally and figuratively. Nothing can compare to the natural sights and sounds of complete serenity and tranquility. As the season's progress, the leaves change colors, and animals both burrow and emerge; cobblestone pathways lead you through the winding gardens. Tours of the Lily Pool are offered on the weekends free of charge.
