The Palace Hotel has been in business since 1892, when entrepreneur Henry Cordes Brown decided to build accommodations for those on their way to traveling West in search of wealth and a better life. The same Italian Renaissance style architecture that was built up in the late 19th century can still be found today at this historic landmark. The Brown Palace Hotel is the second oldest operating hotel in Denver after the Oxford Hotel which opened just a year before.
