Tony Priolo and Ciro Longobardo had a Piccolo Sogno, or, "little dream" to open up a restaurant of their own, where the food and wine alike were reminiscent of authentic Italian cooking. In 2008, Priolo and Longobardo realized their dream and opened up Piccolo Sogno on North Halsted Street in Chicago. Through the years, the mission of the restaurant has been to transform fresh, local ingredients into traditional and delicious regional Italian dishes. The importance of drinking wine with the meal is emphasized at Piccolo Sogno, as it offers over 400 different selections, all native to Italy. The knowledgeable staff is always ready with a recommendation so one may never feel overwhelmed by the many choices. Piccolo Sogno prides itself on serving only the highest quality foods, which are packed with flavor. The handmade fresh-as-can-be pastas-from gnocchi to lasagna- are what really put Piccolo Sogno ahead of the competition. The restaurant is clean with a classy ambience and the gorgeously landscaped outdoor patio is the perfect setting to enjoy such a rich and satisfying meal.
