Lou Mitchells on W. Jackson Boulevard has been doing breakfast right since 1923-and it shows. The "old school" diner-style restaurant complete with an old fashioned-bar and accompanying stools claims to charge $0.50 for suggestions and $1.00 for criticism- they know what they're doing here. While you wait, servers walk by with a basket of freshly made donut holes, as they do all of their own baking. The service is fast an efficient and the atmosphere is extremely hospitable and welcoming. The coffee is some of the best in the city.
