Holy Name Cathedral, dedicated in 1875, is an iconic Roman Catholic Church and the seat of the Archdiocese of Chicago. Constructed in the Gothic revival style, complete with the rose window, bronze doors, stained glass and long central nave, the Church is a beautiful setting for a beautiful service. One of the first adornments that catch your eye is the Resurrection Crucifix, suspended above the Cathedral Alter. Holy Name Cathedral is the ideal venue to attend either during the week or on the weekend, as the Church offers plenty of masses to accommodate tourists.
